Is Your Website Ready for the Holidays?

Yikes, Christmas is only 7 weeks away!!!
And before that we'll have Thanksgiving and Hanukkah. Is your website prepared?

You may wonder, "What does my website have to prepare for?"

Well, hopefully lots of traffic.

These common sense courtesies will win you brownie points with your customers during the holidays, and all year long!

  • Do your hours change on and around major holidays? Are you open or closed for business on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and/or New Year's Day? Do you have extended shopping hours during the evening or weekends? Is this information posted on your website?
  • Do you have a plan for bad weather? Do you have a set policy for such things as snow storms? For example, I know of a business that closes if the local schools are closed due to bad weather. What is your plan? This should be posted on your website as well.
  • Last minute emergencies come up also. One great way to handle this is to have a Facebook feed on your website. You can update your Facebook page and website in one step.
  • People now use websites to look up information such as phone numbers, directions and hours. Having this information easily found, clearly presented and up-to-date ensures a quality customer experience from the start.

If you need help making these changes or have other questions about your website, just give me a call!
